Karen L. Weiss, who serves as the firm’s managing attorney, graduated cum laude from George Washington University and earned her Juris Doctor from Yeshiva University, Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Prior to joining Levitt LLP, Ms. Weiss was a partner at the New York City law firm Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. where she specialized in real estate related litigation in both Civil and Supreme Court, including all aspects of both residential and commercial landlord/tenant litigation. She represented clients in such diverse areas as rent regulation, lease disputes, cooperative shareholder disputes, succession, subletting, assignment, Yellowstone injunctions, brokerage disputes, tort law and contract actions.

Since joining Levitt LLP in 1999, Ms. Weiss has specialized in real estate, litigation and business transactions. Her practice includes counseling corporate clients on planning and implementing business strategies and problem solving, focusing on the resolution of business disputes, real estate transactions and commercial litigation. In addition, Ms. Weiss has represented a wide variety of clients including large corporations, individual proprietorships and not for profits in the corporate and commercial sectors.

Ms. Weiss is actively involved in the firm’s major arbitration practice, and plays an active role in our litigation and trial practice as well.

Super Lawyers Magazine has listed Ms. Weiss as a “Super Lawyer” in the area of business litigation for the New York City Metro Area. The New York Times has listed her as one of the Top Women Attorneys in Metro New York, and New York Magazine has listed her among the Women Leaders in the Law. Ms. Weiss is active with numerous philanthropic and community organizations. She is a member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has been involved with the Diabetes Research Institute and American Diabetes Association for many years.
